Queens, NY (April 4, 2023) – An unidentified person was struck and injured by a motor vehicle in the Jamaica section of Queens, according to reports. The collision took place on Tuesday morning, April 4th, at around 10:37 a.m.
Authorities say that an undetermined type of vehicle approached the junction of 110th Road and Sutphin Boulevard, where it hit a pedestrian who was traveling in the area. The victim was knocked to the ground from the force of the crash, and emergency responders were called to the scene via 911 dispatchers.
Upon arriving at the crash site, EMTs worked to assist the wounded party. The patient was taken to a neighboring medical center to undergo additional evaluation and treatment. Their current condition has not been confirmed at this time.
Police investigators are conducting an inquiry to establish the events that caused the accident. Updates will be released after they are made available.
