Queens, NY (March 17, 2023) – One person was reportedly trapped in the wreckage that followed an early morning car accident in the Jamaica Hills neighborhood of Queens. Authorities reported the accident at approximately 5:13 a.m. on Friday morning, March 17th.
According to law enforcement, the involved vehicles collided at the intersection of 167th Street and Gothic Drive for undetermined reasons. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to at least one of the vehicles, and one person was pinned inside their vehicle as a result.
Police and paramedics arrived in the area to provide assistance while firefighters worked to free the trapped victim. That person was removed from the wreckage, and all those in need of significant medical attention were transported to local hospitals.
At this time, reports have not shown the severity of injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
