Queens, NY (April 3, 2023) – Six tow trucks were dispatched to the scene of a seven-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries on Monday morning, April 3rd. The crash occurred on the Van Wyck Expressway in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park neighborhood of Queens.
According to law enforcement, multiple vehicles collided on the expressway, in the area of South Exit 12B, at approximately 9:20 a.m. The events that led to the crash are unclear, but numerous emergency responders arrived a short time later to provide assistance.
Firefighters reportedly requested at least two ambulances and six tow trucks at the scene to assist the victims and clear the wreckage. An unspecified number of people were hospitalized, and their conditions have not been reported.
Few other details are available at this time, as the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
