Burn Injuries in New York

Queens, NY - Two Firefighters Injured in Four-Alarm Fire at Laundromat on 30th St

The severity of your burn injury hinges on the kind of burn you sustained and the size of the affected area.

No matter what kind of burn you may have, all of them are capable of producing painful, debilitating results.  The five most common types of burn injuries are:

  • Cold burns
  • Thermal burns
  • Electrical burns
  • Chemical burns
  • Radiation burns.

When skin is exposed to chemicals, radiation, heat, or electricity, the affected tissue is easily damaged. When the damage to the tissue is severe enough to cause necrosis, you have a burn injury. Burn injuries can range from fairly insignificant, causing only damage to the surface of the skin, to extremely severe, potentially resulting in serious damage to the bones or muscles.

Our New York burn injury lawyers have handled many of these types of cases and are prepared to conduct a detailed investigation on your behalf.

Being injured in an accident can be an extremely disruptive, frightening, confusing, and overwhelming time in a person’s life.
