Queens, NY (February 15, 2023) – Police and medical professionals in Queens were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision with reported injuries. The crash, which involved four vehicles, occurred on the Long Island Expressway at approximately 7:53 a.m. on Wednesday morning, February 15th.
Authorities say that a total of four vehicles were involved in a collision in the westbound lanes of the Expressway in the vicinity of Maurice Avenue. When first responders arrived at the scene, they located the damaged vehicles and work to secure the area.
Emergency medical technicians provided assistance for those who were harmed during the accident. A total of two people were transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation and treatment.
No details are available on the present conditions of the victims who have been hospitalized. One westbound lane of traffic was closed while crews began an investigation at the scene.
The inquiry into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
