Queens, NY (March 17, 2023) – At about 8:55 a.m. on Friday morning, March 17th, police requested EMS crews at the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The crash occurred in the South Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens.
According to reports provided by law enforcement, two or more vehicles collided at the intersection of the Van Wyck Expressway and the Belt Parkway for undetermined reasons. Dispatchers sent EMTs to the area following a request by the police.
Emergency responders worked at the scene to clear the wreckage while medics attended to the wounded parties. At least one person sustained significant injuries and was taken to a nearby Medical Center for additional treatment.
There is no information available on the conditions of those involved at this time. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
