Raleigh, NC – Pedestrian accident on Capital Boulevard; one feared dead

Raleigh, NC (July 10, 2023) – Police in Raleigh are investigating the fatal hit-and-run of a man on Capital Boulevard on Saturday night, July 8, 2023.

Around 9:45 p.m., a collision was reported near the corner of Capital Boulevard and Calvary Drive.

According to the officials, the victim was crossing the street in a dark location where there was no crosswalk.

Based on earlier findings, a 1997 Toyota Camry in the middle lane struck the pedestrian when a car upfront suddenly swerved.

The Camry driver could not avoid the collision, and the unfortunate victim died from injuries.

While the investigation is ongoing, the pedestrian’s name remains unknown, and no charges have been filed.
