Rancho San Diego, CA (July 10, 2023) – On Friday, July 7, 2023, a fatality and multiple injuries were reported after a collision involving three vehicles.
The CHP reported the crash at 4:35 p.m. at Cuyamaca College Drive West and Jamacha Road.
A possibly intoxicated black Honda Civic went through a red light at State Route 54 and Cuyamaca College Drive.
The Honda Civic hit the black Nissan first, followed by the white Tesla.
The Nissan’s backseat passenger tragically passed away at the scene.
The Nissan’s driver was seriously injured, and the Nissan’s front seat passenger’s injuries are unknown.
The other vehicles’ occupants may have been injured, but details were not provided.
The investigation is still ongoing.
