Richmond, CA – Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Crash on I-580 and Richmond Parkway Results in Fatality

Richmond, CA (July 20, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol received a report of a fatal accident at the intersection of Interstate 580 and Richmond Parkway on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

The collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. on westbound Interstate 580 near the Richmond Parkway offramp.

According to preliminary reports, a Chevrolet 2500 box truck allegedly collided with the pedestrian.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene, but unfortunately, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries.

Further details about the incident have not been released.

The CHP is investigating this fatal crash on I-580 and Richmond Parkway.
