Richmond, VA (March 18, 2023) – A pedestrian accident reported early Friday morning in the 600 block of North Belvidere Street claimed one man’s life.
The accident took place at around 3:00 a.m. on March 17.
According to officials, a male pedestrian was attempting to walk across the roadway from the west side to the east side when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of West Leigh Street.
The man was severely hurt in the crash. The Richmond Police Department responded to the scene and shut down the roadway. The man was pronounced deceased on-site due to his injuries.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
