Richmond, VA (February 21, 2023) – A pedestrian accident occurred in the Richmond area that severely harmed one person early Monday morning.
At around 4:15 a.m. on February 20, the Virginia state police responded to provide assistance at the scene of the crash on Williamsburg Road.
According to reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area near the Richmond International Airport during the early morning hours. The incident prompted authorities to close off Williamsburg Road in the area between Klockner Drive and Lewis Road as they provided assistance at the scene.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries in the accident. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where they were admitted with life-threatening injuries.
The police department is currently investigating the accident.
