Ridgway, PA (September 18, 2023) – A motorcycle accident occurred at 5:14 p.m. on U.S. Route 219 at Boot Jack Road on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

David C. Curran, 79, from West Falls, N.Y., was riding north behind Dennis G. Cole’s car. Cole, 78, from Berwick, paused to turn left.

Curran couldn’t stop in time, crashing into Cole’s rear.

Despite wearing a helmet, Curran was ejected and pronounced dead on site.

Neither Cole nor his passenger, Carol A. Klinger, 76, also from Berwick, were hurt.

Both had seatbelts on.

No charges have been pressed by the Pennsylvania State Police.

The investigation is still ongoing.
