Highway Ramp Accidents in Utah
Exit ramps, especially those connecting major highways like I-15 and I-84, can be dangerous due to merging traffic, high speeds, and sudden braking. Accidents in gore areas—where two roadways separate—often occur when drivers lose control, fail to notice stationary vehicles, or make last-second lane changes.
Drivers should always reduce speed when approaching exit ramps, remain aware of their surroundings, and be prepared for unexpected hazards, such as disabled vehicles. Maintaining safe following distances and driving cautiously in adverse weather conditions can help prevent similar tragedies.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a serious crash, seeking immediate medical attention is critical—even for injuries that may not be apparent right away. Additionally, gathering evidence, including witness statements and accident reports, can be essential when dealing with insurance claims or legal matters.
