Riverside, CA – Crash on Northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near 6th St Results in Fatality

Riverside, CA (July 17, 2023) – On Sunday, July 16, 2023, a fatal crash occurred on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near 6th Street in Riverside.

The California Highway Patrol reported the two-vehicle collision around 11:35 a.m.

Cal Fire Riverside and CHP officers responded to the scene, where a black Volkswagen Jetta and a white sedan were found.

Witnesses said the white sedan was speeding, and one of the vehicles crashed into trees on the right shoulder, trapping a person.

CHP is leading the investigation.

The identity of the deceased will be released once the family is notified.
