Robeson County, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash on Buie Philadelphus Road Claims Life of a Moped Driver

Robeson County, NC ( July 21, 2023) – A tragic hit-and-run crash occurred on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, resulting in the death of a moped driver.

The incident took place on Buie Philadelphus Road.
According to First Sgt. S. B. Lewis from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a car struck the moped driver after failing to reduce speed.

The collision proved fatal for the moped rider.
Authorities have not yet identified the type of vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and troopers are working to gather more information about the moped’s driver, including their name and any other relevant details related to the crash.
