Rochester, MN (March 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision resulted in injuries on Tuesday evening at the intersection of Eastbound Highway 14 and the ramp to Southbound Highway 52 in Rochester.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:30 PM, involving a 2007 Ford Edge and a 2008 GMC Envoy. According to authorities, the Ford Edge was traveling eastbound on Highway 14, while the GMC Envoy was traveling westbound on Highway 14, attempting to make a left turn onto southbound Highway 52 when the two vehicles collided.
Emergency responders, including Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department, and MCAS, arrived at the scene to assist those involved. The driver of the Ford Edge, identified as Elijah Ramel Kelly, 26, of Rochester, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The driver of the GMC Envoy, David Alexis Mesta, 24, of Faribault, did not report any injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor in the incident. The Minnesota State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
