Rochester, NY – Three Hospitalized Following House Fire on Finch St

Rochester, NY (March 27, 2021) – Three people are in the hospital following a house fire on Finch Street on Thursday, March 25th in the city of Rochester.

The Rochester Fire Department received a call at about 2:15 a.m. informing them that a fire had trapped people on the second floor of the two-family home.

Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered that one adult was able to safely exit the home. A 14-year-old boy was on the roof of the front porch and jumped to the ground just as responders arrived. 

A 9-year-old child and a 52-year-old woman were seen in a second-floor window.

Crews used ladders to help extricate those trapped inside via upper-floor windows.  

In total, three victims were transported via ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for fire-related injuries.
