Rochester, NY (November 24, 2021) – Two young children were killed, and one other was left critically injured after a two-vehicle accident in the city of Rochester. The tragic accident was reported on Wednesday morning, November 24th, at around 9:45 a.m.

According to authorities, a woman was driving a vehicle with three child passengers when she was t-boned by another car at the intersection of Lyell Avenue and Mt. Read Boulevard. The impact of the crash caused all three children to be ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene where they pronounced an 11-year-old child deceased. A four-year-old child was transported to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. An eight-year-old child was also taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The female driver sustained cuts to her face and other non-life-threatening injuries. There was no word on the condition of the other driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle involved.

Authorities are investigating the events that led to the crash.
