Rockville, MD (February 11, 2023) – Two vehicles collided on the interstate in Rockville on Friday evening, sending at least one person to an area hospital with injuries.
The Montgomery County Police Department was notified at approximately 4:15 p.m. on February 10 that they were needed at the scene of a crash on Interstate 270.
According to law enforcement, two vehicles collided on the northbound side of the interstate near Route 28. Authorities responded and located both damaged vehicles blocking the roadway between Route 28 and Shady Grove Road.
Emergency medical service with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service responded to care for injured victims. Those who required further attention were transported to local hospitals.
The Montgomery County Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
