Rockville, MD (February 16, 2023) – At 8:10 a.m. on February 14, the Montgomery County Police Department and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services were notified that they were needed to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that left at least one person hurt.
According to reports from law enforcement, a collision blocked multiple lanes of the eastbound side of Maryland State Route 200. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway between Shady Grove Access Road and Georgia Avenue.
Emergency crews worked quickly to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the road.
At least one person sustained injuries. MCRFS EMS responded to care for the injured victims and transport them to area hospitals.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
