Rockville, MD (December 22, 2022) – Emergency crews were notified that they were needed to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic accident that took place in the Rockville area on Wednesday evening that ended in injuries. On December 21, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a traffic accident on Interstate 270.
According to law enforcement, just before 4:30 p.m., a traffic accident between three vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 270. Emergency officials responded to the scene and closed off multiple northbound lanes in the area between Falls Road and Route 28 near exit 6A.
The crash caused severe delays throughout the area. EMS responded to the scene to provide care to injured victims and transport them to area hospitals.
The Montgomery County Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
