Rome, NY (May 23, 2020) – Around midnight on Thursday, May 21, a fatal pedestrian crash took place at an intersection in Rome.

The accident, according to authorities, took place at the intersection of Black River Boulevard and East Dominick Street.

Rome police confirmed that the pedestrian killed in the accident was identified as 20-year-old Jasmine Finch. An adult male, identified as 33-year-old Travis Carpenter, was hospitalized with injuries.

The person responsible for the collision was identified as 21-year-old Greish Ortega-Lebron, who was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, and more.

The investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
