Rose, NY (July 9, 2020) – One woman, identified as Carolina Miller, 24, of Clyde, and a three-year-old child were seriously injured after a car crash with a horse-drawn buggy on NY-414. The collision was reported in the town of Rose at around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 8th.
Officials stated that Miller was operating the buggy with one child passenger when they were struck by a motor vehicle that fled the scene. Emergency responders arrived at the scene where both Miller and the child were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The hit-and-run driver later turned herself in to police and has been identified as Paige Rivenburgh, 25, of Clyde. Charges against her are currently pending.
