Russell, MA (December 13, 2024) – On December 12, two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 23 in Russel. The crash occurred around 6:12 PM on Blandford Road, where one of the vehicles rolled over, trapping two individuals inside.
The Russell-Montgomery Police Department was dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the rollover. Upon arrival, they were informed by Northampton Control Dispatch that two people were trapped in one of the vehicles, and Life Star was also called to assist in the emergency response.
One woman was partially ejected during the rollover and was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. A man, also injured in the crash, was transported to the same hospital for further evaluation and care.
