Sacramento, CA (March 19, 2025) – A bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday night at the intersection of Fruitridge Rd and Ethel Way in the Lawrence Park neighborhood of Sacramento.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:07 p.m., prompting a rapid response from emergency personnel. Upon arrival, first responders found the injured bicyclist and attempted life-saving measures. However, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
Officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash, including whether speed, driver impairment, or other factors played a role in the fatal collision. The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.
Traffic in the area was affected for several hours as authorities conducted an investigation and cleared the scene. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
