Sacramento, CA – DUI Accident Near Richards Blvd Results in Fatality and Injuries

Sacramento, CA (July 14, 2023) – In Sacramento, CA, authorities arrested a suspected drunk driver who crashed into a group of pedestrians on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

The accident resulted in the death of a 38-year-old woman and critical injuries to three other pedestrians, including two minors.

The incident occurred near Jibboom Street on Richards Boulevard, as stated by a spokesperson from the Sacramento Police Department.

The driver, aged 27, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.

The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

The deceased pedestrian’s identity will not be disclosed until the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is notified.
