Saint Peter, MN (January 13, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Southbound MN Highway 169 near Union St in Saint Peter, Nicollet County, on Saturday night. Emergency responders, including the Saint Peter Police Department, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, and Rivers Edge EMS, arrived promptly to assist those involved in the crash.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:53 PM when a southbound Jeep Compass collided with a northbound Toyota Rav4 near Union Street. The drivers of both vehicles, Chase Michael Hiber, 20, of Cottage Grove, MN, and Virginia Bosibori Ondieki, 21, of Rogers, MN, did not sustain any injuries and were not transported for medical care. Both were reportedly wearing seat belts, and airbags in both vehicles deployed upon impact.
One passenger in the Toyota Rav4, identified as Sharon Kwamboka Morara, 21, of Saint Cloud, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic-Mankato for treatment. Another passenger, Mumtaz Noor Ibrahim, 22, also of Saint Cloud, MN, was unharmed and did not require medical transportation. Authorities confirmed that the road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, and no alcohol involvement was reported.
