Salisbury, MD (March 27, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place in the Salisbury area that prompted authorities to request additional units at the scene.
Calls for assistance came in just after 8:15 p.m. on March 25.
According to officials, vehicles collided on Route 50 at the intersection of Phillip Morris Drive. The Salisbury Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene and shut down a portion of the roadway. EMS responded to the site of the accident to care for the injured victims. However, they requested additional units to respond to the scene to provide assistance.
Medics tended to all of the injured victims while on-site. Those who required further care were transported to local hospitals.
The Police Department remained at the scene extensively with firefighters as they worked to clear the road. Investigations surrounding the events that led up to the accident are underway.
