Salisbury, NC – Pedestrian Struck by Train on South Main Street Results in Fatality

Salisbury, NC ( July 13, 2023) – Salisbury authorities have launched an investigation following a tragic incident in which a train struck and killed a person.

Salisbury Police confirmed with Queen City News that the incident occurred on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, around 12:38 a.m. on South Main Street.
According to officials, the individual involved was identified as Jeffrey Daniels, aged 65.

It was reported that Daniels was struck by a northbound train, resulting in his untimely death.
Both the Salisbury Police and Salisbury Fire responded to the scene promptly to address the incident.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is currently underway as authorities work to gather more information and determine the cause of the accident.
