San Bernardino, CA – Police Chase Ends in Fatality Near Mt. Vernon Ave & Johnston Ave

San Bernardino, CA (November 17, 2023) – A police pursuit in San Bernardino County on Thursday, November 16, resulted in a fatal motor vehicle accident. Around 10:39 a.m., police were chasing a driver in a stolen 1999 red Ford Expedition SUV.

The chase unfolded near Mt. Vernon Ave and Johnston Ave in Colton. The driver crashed into another vehicle and suffered fatal injuries, being pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed. Authorities are investigating if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
