San Diego, CA (September 13, 2023) – A collision between a semi-truck and a Toyota Prius C occurred around 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, on the northbound 5 Freeway near National Avenue and 28th Street.
The California Highway Patrol reported the incident.
Both vehicles pulled over to the right shoulder after the crash.
Medic 19 transported one individual with injuries to UC San Diego Medical Center.
The reason behind the collision remains unknown.
The investigation is still ongoing.
