San Diego, CA (July 14, 2023) – On July 12, 2023, early in the morning, a collision close to Coronado was responsible for the tragic death of a motorcyclist.
The California Highway Patrol reported a 7 a.m. fatal collision on northbound Silver Strand at Coronado Cays Boulevard.
The police had initiated a traffic stop, and the motorcyclist was attempting to avoid it when they sped up for reasons that were not entirely clear.
They were involved in a collision with another vehicle.
Unfortunately, the rider was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
At this time, the identity of the person killed has not been made public.
There is currently no additional information regarding the crash.
An investigation into the collision is underway to determine the factors that led to it.
