San Diego, CA (July 10, 2023) – On Friday, July 7, 2023, ABC10 News reported that a 47-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in San Diego’s South Park neighborhood.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. in the 2900 block of Juniper Street.
An eastbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian collecting cans from trash cans, injuring him.
The driver did not stop the car.
The victim was taken to a local hospital immediately after the incident, where he was treated for serious but non-fatal injuries.
Luckily, the victim’s female companion was not hurt in the accident.
The witnesses saw a gold Toyota Corolla being driven away.
The Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department is still investigating the incident.
