Santa Barbara, CA (September 13, 2023) – A tragic incident occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2023, when a tractor ran over its operator on Main Street near Bonita School Road at 1:34 p.m.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported the accident.

Firefighters rushed to the 2800 block of West Main Street, finding the farmworker with severe injuries.

The injured worker received immediate medical attention and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center.

Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the accident remains unclear.

The investigation is still ongoing.
