Santa Maria, CA (March 19, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident in Santa Maria left one person dead and another critically injured after they were struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning.
According to the Santa Maria Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. in the 700 block of West Main Street. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical aid to the two pedestrians. One victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the second was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, pending family notification. The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
