Sheldon, VT – Vehicle Accident on VT Rte 78 Results in Serious Injuries

Sheldon, VT (November 21, 2023) – A severe vehicle crash on Monday, November 20, left Stacy Charbonneau, 51, from Franklin, VT, with serious injuries. The accident occurred on Vermont Route 78 in Sheldon.

Vermont State Police report that Charbonneau’s vehicle swerved into the opposite lane and off the road, hitting a large boulder. First responders found her unconscious in the vehicle. She was initially taken to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans and then moved to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Currently, Charbonneau is in stable condition. The investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
