Silver Spring, MD (February 19, 2023) – Reports from the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service show that one person has died and several others have been left with injuries following a major fire incident in Silver Spring early Saturday morning that left hundreds of residents displaced.
Reports from authorities show that a major three-alarm fire broke out inside the Arrive Silver Spring apartment building, located at 8750 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring.
Firefighters went to work quickly on battling the blaze.
Hundreds of people were displaced as a result of the fire.
A total of seventeen victims were rushed to area hospitals for emergency medical care.
Authorities confirmed that one victim passed away from their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department.
