Silver Spring, MD (March 9, 2023) – Several people were left injured following a multi-vehicle accident that took place in the Silver Spring area on Wednesday evening, March 8.
At around 5:18 p.m., a total of four vehicles collided on the outer loops of the Interstate 495 Beltway. The incident prompted the police and firefighters to close off the roadway between Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue.
Multiple victims suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for the injured victims. At least three of the victims who suffered injuries were transported to area hospitals for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
