Silver Spring, MD (February 12, 2023) – The Montgomery County police and firefighters responded to the scene of an accident that took place on the Capital Beltway that left at least one person injured.
At approximately 6 p.m. on February 11, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of an automobile collision on Interstate 495.
Reports show that a collision occurred on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway in the area near Interstate 95.
The incident prompted the closure of the left three lanes of travel as emergency crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles and an overturned truck from the roadway.
While on-site, EMS treated the injured victims. At least one person was taken to a nearby hospital for additional medical attention.
Law enforcement is investigating the incident.
