Silver Spring, MD – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on MD-97 near Forest Glen Rd

Silver Spring, MD (July 19, 2023) – The police and firefighters rushed to the scene of a crash that occurred in the Silver Spring area and ended in injuries.

At around 8:06 p.m. on July 18, emergency crews were notified that a crash occurred on Maryland State Route 97.

Reports show that a collision blocked multiple lanes on the roadway, causing severe delays in the area of Forest Glen Road. Emergency crews closed off the scene for several hours as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris.

Authorities confirmed that at least one person was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
