Silver Spring, MD (November 9, 2022) – A truck accident was reported in Montgomery County on Wednesday evening that resulted in injuries. On November 8, calls for help went out to the Montgomery County Police Department regarding a traffic accident on Interstate 495.
Local police reports indicate that at around 5:08 p.m., a tractor-trailer was involved in a collision on the westbound side of the interstate near Maryland State Route 650. The crash caused delays along the outer loop of the roadway near exit 28.
Emergency officials blocked off the area as they worked to clear the scene. Delays in traffic extended approximately 2.5 miles from the site of the crash as officials worked to clear the area.
EMS responded to the scene of the accident to provide treatment to victims and transport them to area hospitals for medical care.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
