Slater, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash Injures Three Residents in Saline County

Slater, MO (July 20, 2023)- Three Slater residents were injured in a Saline County two-car crash on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Chevy Malibu driven by 47-year-old Eugene E. Fizer westbound on Highway 240 east of Primrose Avenue at 8 a.m.

The Chevy unexpectedly crossed the center line and hit 36-year-old Amanda A. Pycke’s eastbound 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor.

Amanda A. Pycke and her 10-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.

Private vehicles took them to the University of Missouri Hospital for treatment. Eugene E. Fizer was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for moderate injuries by private vehicle.

According to the report, Fizer was unbuckled during the accident.

Authorities are investigating the collision’s cause.
