South Holland, IL (December 9, 2024) – A fire broke out early Monday morning at a home in suburban South Holland, leaving one man hospitalized. The blaze began around 3:15 a.m. in the garage of a house near the intersection of 171st Place and Lewis Avenue.
Two men were inside the home when the fire started. One of the men managed to escape by fleeing through a bedroom window, but he declined treatment at the scene. The second man was able to escape the fire by exiting through the garage. He was transported to Franciscan Health Munster and was listed in good condition following the incident.
