South Sac, CA (September 19, 2023) – At 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023, a significant crash happened on I-5 South near Twin Cities Rd offramp.

CHP quickly arrived at the scene and noted the problem escalated from an unknown injury to a major injury.

A Toyota Corolla suffered severe front-end damage after colliding with a power pole, which was sheered at its base.

The involved party was found unresponsive but snoring inside the car.

Witnesses indicated a possible second crash site near Snodgrass Bridge.

An unknown vehicle reportedly sped and went over the embankment.

Chimas Tow was alerted for assistance.

The investigation is still ongoing.
