Deadly Crashes in South Carolina
Fatal crashes, like the one on Highway 290, highlight the dangers of highway intersections and driveway entrances along busy roadways. These types of collisions often occur when vehicles enter high-speed traffic areas, increasing the risk of severe or fatal impacts.
According to South Carolina traffic data, accidents involving vehicles entering highways from driveways or side roads are among the most dangerous due to limited visibility and misjudged gaps in traffic. In many cases, speed, distraction, or failure to yield can contribute to these tragic incidents.
Investigators will work to determine if factors such as road conditions, driver behavior, or visibility issues played a role in this crash.
