Spotsylvania, VA (February 20, 2023) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a crash that occurred in the Spotsylvania area early Sunday morning.
Just after 2:00 a.m. on February 19th, the Virginia State Police put of Fredericksburg responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 3, Plank Road.
According to law enforcement, a traffic accident occurred on the eastbound side of Route 3. The incident prompted authorities to shut down. The roadway just passed Brock Road for an extended amount of time.
Firefighters and police worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the road.
Paramedics responded to the scene to care for the injured victims in transporting them to area hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
