Nevada Intersection Collisions
The Federal Highway Administration (FHA) monitors and tracks the number of car accidents reported across the United States each year. Congested intersections are a hotspot for serious crashes across Las Vegas, and for that reason, these are extremely dangerous areas for any driver or pedestrian. According to reports from the FHA, there are nearly 2.5 million intersection collisions reported across the country annually. These crashes make up around 40% of reported car accidents each year, making intersection accidents the second-largest crash category behind rear-end crashes. These accidents are often very serious. In fact, 50% of injury accidents and 20% of fatal crashes take place at intersections. Of these crashes, an estimated 165,000 involve drivers who run red lights. These crashes contribute to 700 to 800 deaths per year. Those injured in a Las Vegas car crash should seek the help of an experienced personal injury attorney in order to construct a strong claim for damages and pursue lost compensation.
