The Springfield Police Department (SPD) reported that officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:15 PM on October 20.
According to preliminary investigations, 25-year-old Andrew Carroll from New Orleans, Louisiana, was riding a green Kawasaki Ninja westbound when a Honda Pilot traveling eastbound made a left turn to head north on Grant Avenue. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, leading to a devastating outcome. Unfortunately, Andrew Carroll died at the scene as a result of the crash.
