St. Charles, MN (September 13, 2023) – A woman sustained injuries in a crash between St. Charles and Elba on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. 

A 2020 Subaru Forester, driven south on Minnesota Highway 74, collided with a 2022 Subaru Outback heading east on Winona County Road 22.

The Outback’s driver, Susan Carol Benedett, 78, from Altura, suffered injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys. 

Meanwhile, Sandra Kay Bauter, 76, of Stewartville, driving the Forester, remained unharmed.

St. Charles Ambulance, Fire Department, and Police Department attended the scene. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
