St. Cloud, FL (March 13, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross US-192 near Druid Way on Wednesday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. when the driver of an Acura collided with a man crossing from the center median to the eastbound shoulder. Officials stated that the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Debris from the crash struck an unmarked deputy’s patrol car, which was traveling directly behind the Acura. Neither the deputy nor the driver of the Acura was injured.
The pedestrian died at the scene, and the medical examiner’s office is working to confirm his identity. FHP troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
